A 42-year-old man who was fired from his job at 7-Eleven now faces assault charges after allegedly attacking his former boss with a baseball bat.

In June, the man approached his ex-employer in the vault area of a West Valley City 7-Eleven at 6407 W. 4100 South with the bat. According to court documents, the man then asked the manager to give him his job back, and the manager declined, making the man angry.

He then threatened the manager's life and hit him in the arm with the bat.

The man, who lives in Magna, has been charged with third-degree assault.
