| Kyte Powers Video for Upcoming Jobnob Virtual Job Fair Posted: 02 Nov 2010 09:00 PM PDT Press Release Source: Kyte On Wednesday November 3, 2010, 12:00 am SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Kyte, the 360° video platform, today announced that Jobnob, an online job board for alternative compensation jobs, will be using the Kyte platform to power video for its first ever "Ivy Plus Job Fair". The virtual event runs from November 8-19 and provides a completely new way for companies to recruit on campus and connect with students from top U.S. universities including Harvard, MIT and Princeton, in a live, interactive virtual event. A new alternative to on-campus recruiting, Jobnob's "Ivy Plus Job Fair" will allow companies large and small to interact live with students via the Web. During the virtual job fair, company reps will be able to make presentations to thousands of students, and answer questions live via multimedia chat. While on-campus recruiting events are often costly and require a significant time investment, Jobnob's virtual fair allows companies and top level executives to capture the attentions of and interact directly with top students without ever leaving their offices. "Jobnob's 'Ivy Plus Job Fair' provides companies with the unprecedented opportunity to connect with thousands of students across the country without having to travel or mark out special budget for pricey on-campus recruiting events," said Gannon Hall, COO, Kyte. "Online video is transforming the recruiting industry, and we are thrilled to enable Jobnob to create new ways for students to connect with potential employers, while also helping companies to increase their chances of filling open positions with the right candidates." "Online video is a crucial component of Jobnob virtual recruiting events," said Julie Greenberg, co-founder, Jobnob. "We chose Kyte to power the video portion of our virtual job fairs because Kyte is the most complete solution for an online video platform that supports live video broadcasting fully integrated with real-time multimedia chat functionality, and provides all of the features that make it possible for companies and students to connect live via the Web. We look forward to growing the Kyte partnership, with the hopes of extending Jobnob virtual job fairs to mobile devices in 2011." All companies participating in the upcoming "Ivy Job Fair" have online company profiles, which students can use to learn more about each company, explore specific job opportunities, drop resumes and send questions. Virtual office hours sessions will last approximately two hours and an average of five companies will have virtual office hours at the same time, allowing students to go in and out of different sessions as they choose. Companies participating in the Ivy Plus Fair include: AOL, BrightRoll, Capital One, HauteLook, Hulu, Jive Software, LivingSocial, Oracle, Rosetta Stone, Twitter and Zappos, as well as many startups taking advantage of the reach and cost-effectiveness of the virtual recruiting events.
