| Virtual Job Shadows program gets boost Posted: 08 Dec 2010 09:08 PM PST The Education Foundation has received a $15,000 grant from the Alcoa Foundation to help develop Virtual Job Shadows, a free online career exploration program available to local high school students, parents and educators. Virtual Job Shadows allows students to discover and investigate career options available in the workplace, and the grant will broaden the number of modules available. Alcoa's Mt. Holly plant has been in Goose Creek since 1979, and the The Education Foundation is an initiative of the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce to build partnerships between the business community and the schools.
